ISPM 15 guidelines - Norway

We would like to inform you that, with immediate effect, all wooden pallets / cases entering Norway must have been through a heat treatment process and have official marking as required in the ISPM 15 guidelines.

The is due to Norway entering into the World Trade Organisation, Committee on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, which means there are new controls regarding processed timber entering the country.

We understand that the Norwegian Authorities will make random checks at all border points into Norway.

The Norwegian Authorities have the legal powers to seize any pallets / wooden packaging material and destroy them along with all cargo on or in this packaging, with the charges payable by the owner of the goods.

We would strongly recommend that all shipments leaving the UK should be packed onto or in heat treated pallets / cases, to ensure that your shipments comply with the new regulations.
